Bartosz Pawlowski is a cinematographer & DI colourist based in Toronto, Canada.

With over a decade of work experience in the film industry, Bartosz is an experienced cinematographer. He has an eye for capturing captivating, and emotionally-evocative imagery. Bartosz is a second generation cinematographer. Before getting exiled from Poland, and immigrating to Canada; Bartosz’s father studied film at the University of Silesia in Katowice. Beginning with his father, Bartosz has been fortunate to come across a long line of mentors who have influenced and shaped his career as a cinematographer: Richard Leiterman, csc; Antonin Lhotsky, csc; Stan Barua, csc; Stephen Lighthill, asc; Bill Dill, asc; Yuri Neyman, asc; Amy Vincent, asc; Robert Primes, asc; Frederic Goodich, asc, and Mark Woods.

Having been a member of the grip department of IATSE 873 for nine years, Bartosz has amassed an abundant wealth of production experience having worked the floor of the Hollywood production machine. Bartosz honourably withdrew his membership from IATSE 873 in 2022, in order to focus full-time on his career as a freelance cinematographer & DI colourist. He’s the proud owner & operator of BWP Cine Services Inc. Bartosz is also proud to have his first feature film that he shot, Mind Leech, released in February, 2023. Since then, he’s works on everything from documentaries, narrative films, branded content, music videos, and commercials.

Bartosz is an Associate Member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC), since 2014. He holds an MFA in Cinematography from the AFI Conservatory ('09); a Specialized BFA with Honours, from York University ('07); and an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Media Arts with Honours, from The Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning ('05).
